Embrace Simplicity: Two Practices to Transform Your Day and Life

In the fast-paced rhythm of our daily lives, finding moments of calm and clarity can seem challenging. However, engaging in two simple practices when needed can make a profound difference: taking one deep breath and doing the next right thing.

Just Take One Breath

It’s so simple yet so powerful. Pause and take one full deep breath, as though you have all the time in the world. Feel the shift as you let go of stress, worry, or fear. Whenever you feel overwhelmed, stressed, or lost, find a way to pause and take that one deep, full, and conscious breath.

Do the Next Right Thing

After grounding yourself with a breath, ask, "What is the next right thing?" Amid a heated argument, the next right thing might be taking a time out or offering an apology. Choosing the next right action often leads to a path of health and healing, steering you away from struggle and stress.

The more in touch you are with your truth and purpose, the easier it will be to discern the next right thing. Don’t obsess over getting it right. Trust that at a deeper level, beyond the fluctuations of your mind, there is a part of you here to love and to serve. Let the next right thing come from that place.

By incorporating these practices, you can navigate life's challenges with grace and resilience. Remember, transformation starts with a single breath and one mindful step at a time.
